My story
My name is Ruth Merriman. I'm a resident artist as part of The Incubator Creative Hub in Tauranga. Imagine It N.Z. began with a simple vision: to craft art that narrated stories through a charming, naive illustrative style. Over the past six months, I've experimented with diverse artistic styles and used a mixed media style and achieved delightful creative results. My journey as an artist is to use my unique imagination and showcase through my art.
My unique style
My current art style is to use a variety of art mediums together or separately to create a variety of art works. My art showcases a playfulness and storytelling aspect which offers a unique visual experience that hopefully resonates with my viewers.
My core values
Imagine It N.Z. has a few personal core values which are important to me as an artist. Firstly; is to make art accessible to everyone. Secondly, I strive to create art pieces for my audience that make them smile and invite personal interpretation. Lastly, I hope my art provides artistic connections that inspires and engages you.

I'm privileged to be a resident artist as part of The Incubator Creative Hub, a thriving and vibrant art community at the Historic Village.
I really enjoy travelling around the North Island, New Zealand. I often document my travels through taking photographs of the many diverse landscapes the North Island has to offer. These photographs are often reflected in my landscape paintings.
